A day nearer Spring?

Another bitterly cold day. A few light snow showers but some thawing and some sunshine too and we finally have buses on our route. There were reports of waxwings quite close to where we live so I went out to see if I could spot them. No luck with them, but by way of compensation, I did see a couple of goldcrest, and we had a flying visit from a bullfinch in the garden earlier. Didn't manage photos of either, but one of our currently regular pair of long-tailed tits was up for it.
