Yesterday there was barely a trickle in this ditch.  Today the water was rushing down from the fields.  Cars were splashing through deep puddles and streams of water were flowing down the road with gutters overflowing being blocked by leaves.    According to a weather station barely a mile from home, records of temperature, rainfall and other features are updated every few seconds stating that it has rained heavily nonstop since before 5 am this morning and continued for over 14 hours producing almost as much as was recorded during the whole month of February, yet about 15 miles to the west it hardly rained.
