Coming whatever the weather

I have to remind myself that although we had snow we are far luckier than many. The ground is sodden. We've brought the current lambers in to an outdoor pen surrounded by straw bales for protection and straw on the floor to soak up the melting snow. The main flock of 900 are due to start lambing at the weekend. That'll be fun. So far its taken the 75 jacobs & zwartables nearly a month. It's dragging on when there's only one or two a day.

Today saw me screaming at the radio. Eejits who call in to Jeremy Vine and say things like "If the farmers can't look after their sheep they shouldn't have them...."
