Split

This hoarse chestnut tree had a forked trunk. It has now split and one part of the tree lies through the coppice undergrowth.
We had storms overnight and after a short respite this morning the heavy rain and high winds have returned, although they are now coming from the west rather than the south.
A day of working around the decorators, completing the various parts of the latest UPP Folio before passing it on tomorrow. The decorators have finished the main room which we are very pleased with, so now begins the task of putting it back together. Tomorrow they start on the hall and bathroom.
