Not Everything is as it Seems

If you can’t make it, fake it!
With no open fire in the Dower House, on a miserable wet day, it is unbelievably comforting to sit in front of my TV with this YouTube video of a log fire running with sound effects. I swear it makes me feel warmer too- the power of the mind!

Because I have no ability to watch anything else on the TV, I am free to concentrate on reading. It’s a plus plus situation when the thought of venturing out into a very dark wet afternoon is abhorrent.

The only trouble is fighting off the desire to comfort eat…but so far so good although the afternoon is but still young.
