a solo walk in the woods

Laney had a bandage change and wound check today, and all seems to be healing nicely. But the vet wants one more look on Thursday before releasing Laney from her surgery appointment to have stitches. I'm praying she continues to heal so that we don't have to traumatize her (and my wallet) again!
So this morning I took a very short walk around the block with Laney, and waited until this afternoon to take a longer walk with my camera. It was a lovely sunny afternoon, making red colors really pop.
So in the collage I put a red ladybug, red leaves, and a Red-tailed hawk.
