Empty cases

I pass under quite a few horse chestnut trees on my walk to work and back. The conkers get collected up quickly but despite rushing, I picked up an empty shell to have a better look once I was home.

They’re genius. So spikey & hard on the outside. So cushioned on the inside. Perfectly and wonderfully created.
