Mazarron Town
Back blip…….Last day today, flying home later.
Slept well, packed my bag, had a cuppa sat outside before getting ready. We headed into town, M&L needed to order a new fridge, which they sorted, before we called to Miguels for coffee and tapas. Apparently Miguels has been in the Square since 1952, the man himself is still waiting the tables at the age of 90!
After our leisurely brunch, lovely tapas, we went into the Town Hall, a splendid building, inside and out. Then a wander locally, which is where I spotted the street art, the Spanish equivalent of our NHS I think!
Back to the villa mid afternoon, finished my packing, put my swimsuit on for a last hour in the sun, before grabbing a shower, getting changed, ready for my flight home.
M&L drove me to the airport, I said my thank yous, we said our goodbyes, then I sat outside, with a coffee and a tuna sandwich, catching the last rays, still 22 degrees! No doubt the last warm sunshine I will feel for a good few months, made me rather sad.
Through Security, then sat a while by the gate, all smooth sailing, flight on time, back in rainy England, landed 10.40, neighbour D was there to pick me up……gave him a bottle of brandy as a thank you.
Feels chilly, straight to be, no unpacking as such……all that can wait until tomorrow.
Feels ok to be home…….even though there is no one here waiting for me :-(
