Living!

This giant lamp shade dominates part of a retail warehouse ceiling on the western fringes of Cheltenham. Taking on a new house means more frequent visits to these so called DIY stores.

My day began early with a rendezvous with the plasterer and painter. The former was modernising our public room ceilings while the latter began prepping the walls upstairs. This work in an unoccupied house is much quicker and easier … so far.

By the time we walked round to the house in the mid afternoon they had finished for today giving us time to plant the bulbs in the garden. We hope there are no bulb eating squirrels around!

We got soaked in a very sharp shower as we walked home. We always remark on how pleased we are not to be camping in heavy rain like that.

Interesting to note that Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp all went off line around 17h today due to an “address book” disconnection? That’s a massive address book with some 3 billion active users.
