Zaragoza

After the usual faffing around, we set off from Laredo after breakfast and broke our journey (after 4 hours) in the very beautiful city of Zaragoza. We’ve been here before with the boys several summers ago, but it was incredibly hot and much busier. Wonderful to wander around today without the crowds. This is the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar in the main square. Our hotel faces onto it (special deal). After lunch we went up the main tower (great views over the city) and wandered around the old town, stopping occasionally for coffee and scrumptious cakes. Lovely day.
