Taking the kids out for tea.
It was the first U3A needles and natter meeting this afternoon, with 7 of us in attendance. There were 3 new members, I was pleased to see, otherwise the group might have folded.
B was playing table tennis at the same village hall, so we walked up and back together. As we passed the Fossdyke we saw this family of swans swimming elegantly along in single file. When they got up to the patch of duckweed the parents headed to it to feed, followed by one of the cygnets.
We had just got home when it started to pour down. Amber and Olive were waiting for their walk and tea. The walk was skipped as we had no intention of getting wet and the girls were happy just to eat.
