Mind elsewhere

Sorry Blipfoto, I'm slightly cheating with this one. I even recognise that 'slightly cheating' is on a level with 'kinda speeding' or 'a bit pregnant'. I'm cheating because I'm struggling for today's inspiration and my mind is elsewhere. It's not necessarily in Luss, on the Clyde on the west coast of Scotland, and I am still focussed on my job and on my students, but I'm so looking forward to the upcoming Easter break.

We have a staff development day on Thursday before splitting up for two weeks' holiday. And tomorrow I'm in Stirling for a conference on assessment but this last few weeks have been, let's say, brisk. I'm not complaining, I like my job a lot, and had a really good day with really good people, staff and students alike. But my head is partly looking for a change of scenery, and partly just needing a rest. Of course I'll still be responding to emails and tweets, just working in the slow lane rather than the daily Fornula 1 circuit comparison. I'm not on a beach over Easter holidays, or on a trip, just the odd day-trip or overnight. There's actually a lot I want to achieve in two weeks in outside interests, but it won't be at my desk. And I might even nip down to Luss or somewhere with a blue sky and clear water, just to tune out. And I also promise not to blip-cheat tomorrow or ever again.
