Jesmond Dene

Jesmond Dene is a delightful wooded valley in the middle of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Lord Armstrong had this waterfall built on the river Ouseburn, which runs through the valley, in the 19th century.

There is a 3 mile loop walk that goes through a deep ancient ravine using several picturesque bridges...a splendid walk for all four seasons of the year.
