A Lot Sooner Than 5 Years

This is the only picture I took today but it means a lot to me. We met L&K about 25 years ago on a rather eventful skiing holiday in Serbia (eventful because the conflict in the Balkans escalated again while we were there and had to be evacuated…but that’s another story). We became great friends and are godparents to each other’s children.

For some unknown reason we drifted apart and haven’t seen each other in more than 5 years. They only live an hour away in Sheffield and prompted by Sushi starting university there we arranged to meet up for lunch.

It was so good, like we hadn’t had a break at all and we just slotted right back into the friendship…we have already set a date for our next get together and it’s a lot sooner than 5 years.
