Canal view from Petre Crescent.
The Feast Day of Saint Francis of Assisi. 1182 - 1226.
Saint Francis is one of the best known and revered saints in the Church calendar. He is the Patron Saint of animals and the environment. Pope Francis, a few years ago, has written an important encyclical, Laudato Si encouraging people to take care of the environment and all God's creation. It is very long and detailed, but I have read some of it as a download.
Praying he will become Vegan, but that has to be his own choice.
Today is a beautiful start to the week, 13c outdoors and 19.5c indoors.
I met a few dog walkers as I did a circular walk. I encompassed Petre Crescent and the gate to the farm was open, so I got a shot of the canal, with the sunlight above it.
The recycling van is out collecting our glass and tins. Coopers, a private enterprise, are out and about cleaning the inside of the bins. I have no idea what they use, but it smells literally like boiled sweets.
Plenty of housework to be getting on with now.
Take care blip friends and have a great Monday.
