Afternoon Tea And A Blipmeet

I had a major errand day today which started at 10am as I headed to the tip with a stop on the way. That was followed by visits to Morrison’s, Go Outdoors, Costco, Dunelm and IKEA - all in 4 different shopping centres.

I was making my way west because my ultimate destination was Swindon to meet my lovely friends John and Maureen and also Pam and Roger who are visiting from the US. Maureen and Pam and I are the blippers! I’ve seen J&M several times in the last couple of years, but P&R haven’t been able to come back to (their native) UK since before the pandemic. So we had a great visit catching up on news and laughing about all sorts of things. The cakes were wonderful too! My diet got a little sidetracked!

A big rainstorm came through while we were there and it was a pretty treacherous hour-long drive home in the middle of the evening. I hate driving at night and the heavy rain just made it worse. P&R had the same difficult drive back to where they staying, also an hour, but we all made it back safely.
