The dropped stitch

Autumn garden

Kept awake last night by rain dripping incessantly from a broken piece of guttering. It seems such a short time ago we were saving every drop of water and using the washing up water to give precious garden plants a drink. Now the water butts are overflowing and the pots are looking very soggy.

I think this plant is Lords and Ladies. As it turns orange it provides a dramatic patch of colour in the autumn.
