Still Camping

Sunday is “Bonus Day” most people pack up and go but for those of us living a more relaxed lifestyle opt to stay another day.
Another campfire breakfast, used all the sausages and bacon and most of the eggs before heading off to look at the ‘Show & Shine’ exhibits. The walk continued around the site, we are always looking for ideas to improve the van and/or accessories to the camp set up that doesn’t involve a caravan or trailer.
Mid afternoon we went for the carvery and a single beer, mountains of food which we walked off with another walk alongside the river passing the Hydro Electric plant shown in the main photo. Built to replace the original in 2006 it is an Archimedes Screw, the principle of which is over 2,000 years old.
By the time we returned to the “Meadow Field” where we are set up we were down to five sets of campers of which we comprise three, twenty-four hours ago the meadow was full.
Relaxing evening, Chinese chicken, burgers, crisps etc, nothing gets taken home.
