Guided walk round Leeds about Sir John Barran

We had a very interesting guided walk round significant buildings and places where Sir John Barran lived and worked. He was an amazing entrepreneur and built a most beautiful factory by Park Square, a detail of which is in my extras. It was especially interesting as the were 5 Barran descendants on the walk one of whom is my brother in law. John Barran bought Roundhay Park for the benefit of the people of Leeds and there is a big celebration in that park next year.
A most interesting day
The second extra show the alleyway where John Barran lived when he was starting out in Leeds and it was described as a muddy smelling street. A great rags to riches life about a man with a deep conviction of doing good for the people of Leeds.
