Peeling conkers

It never occurred to me that squirrels peel conkers before they snack on them, but looking at this little forager that's exactly what they do..

Today I walked into town through the reserve and had coffee with a friend.  Thank you for all your very kind messages, yes, the vertigo is going so it's just the headache that lingers.  I shall try for an early night then see what tomorrow brings.  Talking of tomorrow, I was wondering what the subject was for MonoMonday but couldn't see anything up on the challenges page. Is it just a bit late being posted or have I missed something?
