Went for a guided tour and picnic in the grounds of the Astley Ainslie hospital. I have passed through there on numerous occasions but today I was the first time I had a proper walk. The grounds are massive and full of lovely mature trees (more 2000 trees in total) and 2nd in diversity to the Botanical Garden in Edinburgh. Some trees are very old - today's photo  is of a Spanish chestnut that is more than 400 years old. Needless to say, the place is threatened to be developed. Really enjoyed the tour and found a bonus cache of graffiti. 

Max finally got his new wheels. We had to wait for quite a number of months due to the global bike bits shortage (for once not due to Brexit).
