back-blip
It was Amelie's last Jo Jingles this morning so all four of us went. It was quite busy, which I know she doesn't like, but she did well. Then it was a mad dash home to see the Health Visitor...except she was due at 11.30 and when I got there at 11.31 she had already been, gone and phoned me to say she had been and I wasn't there. I phoned her back and apparently I have to make a new appointment... Looks like I am in the bad books with them already.
I had to frantically ice cupcakes for Amelie's Easter thing at nursery and we had a quick lunch before it was time to leave. Predictably Isaac woke for a feed half an hour before that so I ended up sitting feeding for an hour and being half an hour late for the event. I missed her first sponsored toddle and her bonnet parade :( I really thought they would do it in the middle rather than the start? Never mind, Daddy was there with her at least. And she wasn't terribly impressed with the whole being at nursery but not really being at nursery thing. She wanted us to go to nursery properly! Oh well,we did our bit. Cakes were all gone and we purchased obligatory raffle tickets etc. And that's not to mention the sponsor money, Amelie has some very generous and supportive family members!
We tidied up when we got home, ready for our weekend of visitors. Sadly they all arrived too late for Amelie to see them. Isaac was still awake however, and feeding constantly from 5.30-11....I was exhausted! Luckily I've learnt how to open presents with one hand as there was a massive amount of them that people had sent with my parents. It was like Christmas!
