A walk on the wild side
I was out walking early this morning. Our church service has been put back to 11am. Fine for some, but as I'm used to patroller hours that's almost lunchtime for me. So sometimes I go for a walk first. This time it was Stanpit Marsh.
Crispin25: Several egrets, but not close enough for my lens. If you take Stony Lane South and park near the leisure centre and the bus terminus there is a tarmac footpath leading to the Mudeford car park. This is not the marsh proper, of course, though there were plenty of small birds to be seen. Some of the gravelled paths and grassy areas leading to the marsh looked possible for a wheelchair, but that would be trial and error. Probably not worth a special journey, but you could give it a try if you were in the area for some other reason.
