It was my first day flying solo today...

We started off well - Up, breakfast for all, children dressed and I managed to hoover. Then Isaac started to get grizzly due to being choked with the cold (poor thing) and he didn't quite know what he wanted. The health visitor came just as I had got him off to sleep, but luckily he dozed away whilst she did the hearing test etc (which he passed with flying colours despite having a cold, well done baby boy!) The health visitor was lovely actually, she has said that she would probably only take him once a month to be weighed unless I was otherwise worried and just to look out for him being happy and healthy in other ways. I know that HVs normally do love their scales so I was rather surprised! After she had left I sorted lunch for Amelie and I and fed Isaac. It was about time for his long sleep but every time I put him down he ends up waking himself up coughing or snoring with being congested. After a bit of a battle I popped him in the wrap and he is still there now, snoozing away. Amelie has been drawing and stamping and generally playing rather nicely. She's kicked off a couple of times when I have said no to something but recovered quickly so I'm glad of that!

We are pretty tired now though and looking forward to Daddy getting home from work. The day has just passed so quickly, I feel like I have just been getting by rather than getting anything done! Good job there was nothing to be done today...its nursery run tomorrow!
