Just a few of them!

A lovely sunrise this morning.
I always have mixed feelings when I first see the geese flying overhead.
It’s great to see and hear them, but it also signifies that autumn is here and winter isn’t so far away.
These are pink-footed geese and here is some information about them.
“ The pink-footed goose is a medium-sized goose, smaller than a mute swan but bigger than a mallard. It is pinkish grey with a dark head and neck, a pink bill and pink feet and legs.
This species does not breed in the UK, but large numbers of birds spend the winter here, arriving from their breeding grounds in Spitsbergen, Iceland and Greenland.”
Apparently, up to a fifth of the world’s population of pink-footed geese assemble up here.
