Greasy fingers

With prolonged operation of a touch screen device for the first time ever, I've discovered that I have them. Even when I degrease my fingertips before each use, the screen becomes filled with tiny puffs of smudges almost immediately. At the bottom of the screen, they are lined up in an almost perfect grid that mimicks the shape of the pop-up keyboard. Towards the center, they are more random.

I've resorted to using Mr. M's (stands for Mac, in this case) proprietary screen kleener and cloth often, which I've discovered, works perfectly on non-Mac devices even if the makers of it can't spell. Who knew. Miraculously, the cloth, which is laden with oil, dust particles and other various forms of debris, doesn't leave any behind when used. I find that fascinating and wonder at which point of dirtiness that would cease to be so.

I now know why my kitty cleans herself frantically after I've rubbed her down. She must feel like an oily chip when I'm done with her. There are touch screen gloves available on the market...wonder if they are more irritating than helpful.

Lists are being made for the upcoming trip. This time I am not leaving it all for the last minute.
