Biblical
I didn’t bother getting any food in when I got back from Norfolk because I thought I’d have enough to tide me over to my Cockermouth day on Thursday but I was late and tired then so thought I’d be fine until the weekend. I hadn’t anticipated my MOT debacle. So, this morning I togged up with my rucksack and headed across the field, over the bridge, through the woods and up to Rheged. As I went I realised the shopping list in my head as well as the weather was somewhat biblical... bread, wine, bread, wine ... and chocolate of course.
Whilst there I went and had a look at The Lake Artist’s Exhibition which has moved from Grasmere because the venue there is now a covid vaccination centre.
I’m glad I went, lots of very varied and interesting work.
Then I plodged my way back home, wrote my letter of objection to the council about the new traffic order that has meant we can’t swim at our usual place, caught up with my uncle on the phone and settled down to my transubstantiation.
