That’s a first…

We never have had to resort to a DC fast charger at a highway ‘fuel’-station before… but our visit to the VW California dealership for an early explanation on the rental that we booked for end of October and the trip to pick up my fully reconditioned 50 year old Seiko automatic chrono at the best watchmaker in the Netherlands (see extra’s) was just too much miles for the range. We could’ve charged on location, but it’s good to also have tried this method of charging. At 50kW it’s very quick, but with a matching price too.

The watch used to belong to my granddad, I inherited it almost 30 years ago, and it was in dire need of a big service, a new glass and new seals. I also dropped it once, which broke the week of day indication. There are a few watchmakers in the Netherlands that specialise in this kind of work, but the watchmaker in Bredevoort (over 160km’s from our city) is highly praised, so he got the job. He didn’t disappoint!
