Banging birthday lunch with Laura!

You don't turn 60 every day and today turned out to be really special.

I went to the Japan House before lunch, which was an added treat to a day filled with well wishing friends old and new. 

There is something special about the bond we friends from The Times enjoy. I often joke "We've been through 3 Gulf Wars together, 9/11 and 7/7".
