Arcade
While 17yo was off on another uni open day (Hull) with his Mum, 13yo & I headed into Leeds together for the first time in 18 months.
We managed to occupy ourselves with a bit of shopping, a visit to the art gallery and a couple of café stops. Those who know Leeds will recognise the surrounds of County Arcade in today’s image - the work of the noted victorian theatre architect Frank Matcham. 13yo is wandering off, hood up, ahead.
Outside the Corn Exchange I noticed a ghost sign that I have somehow managed to miss in all previous visits (extra). Inside, I picked up a book on brutal architecture of the North and had some vegan carrot cake.
Despite the rain, a nice dad-daughter day out.
