The afternoon rain...

... persuaded me to head for Knaresborough, where the old pavements and cobble stones in the Market Square become more photogenic when wet.

I hadn't realised there was a craft market being held in the square, which had attracted quite a lot of potential customers.

In the end, I opted to leave the market stalls (which are just to the right of this shot) out of the picture.

I also left the market out of my extra of some old buildings on the opposite side of the square.
