Of the Rest of my Life?

I was made redundant yesterday. The process began about a month ago and reached it's conclusion at 2pm yesterday afternoon. As I'd assumed this was pretty much going to be the answer, mentally I was pretty prepared for it. OK, still not the nicest thing to have to sit there and hear, but my boss looked way more drained and haggared than I did. The one saving grace of the whole process has been that it's perfectly obvious that it's entirely impersonal, so I'm not carrying a load of bitterness around with me. In contrast, he's faced with trying to run a decimated department and I don't think he quite knows at this point how he's going to do it.

Anyway, I'm making no big decision for the next couple of weeks, will gently think and let my headspace chill out a bit, it's been a stressful last few weeks and to be blunt, it hadn't exactly been a bed of roses since we came back after the Christmas break. After that, plenty of exploring of options!!

These lovely tulips were a cheer-up/commiserations gift from my friend F, so I made use of my sheet of black paper this morning to try and get a good blip of them.
