At Last...The Saint Meets the Tiger.

When I was a teenager, a long, long time ago, I was an avid fan of Leslie Charteris and his Saint books.

I renewed this interest in later adulthood and indeed I started to collect the books, mostly in paperback format. I now have quite a collection which has subsequently been relegated to the loft. There was one, however, which I could never get hold of, the very first one entitled The Saint Meets the Tiger. At that period of my life I spent a lot of time in Hay on Wye visiting all the bookshops. I got to know them so well that if anyone had wanted a particular book I would probably been able to tell them which shop had it in stock.

With the advent of the Internet such searches became easier but the prices asked for this book made it prohibitive for me, until this morning when I found a text copy which I was able to download for free. I loaded it onto both my Kindle and my Kobo, but I have a horrible feeling that after all this time I'll find the book so disappointing.
