Fallen fungus

Usually when I see a fungus that has passed its best I think it doesn’t look very attractive. However, when I saw this bright blue colouration today I thought that it was worth photographing. It’s unusual to see such a bright blue colour naturally occurring but I have seen it once before in rotting wood. I wonder if it is caused by another kind of fungus? Does anyone out there know the answer?
It was a very busy day, trying to get a multitude of tasks completed but finally, by 5.00pm I was able to sit down with a g&t and relax.  Earlier in the day I had picked enough blueberries from our bushes to make a blueberry pie for a weekend treat and it was yummy.
