Bromeliad - without the bee

Antipodia asked me yesterday if the flowers on the bromeliad opened wide so the bees could get at the goodies. Well, this is what happens. Just the blue bit at the top opens, and there wasn't a bee to be seen.

Perhaps the promise is better than the reality!!
