Fisherman’s Chapel

Last leg of the Jersey Coast Path walking from St Aubin’s to Corbiere where we started just under a week ago.
We had a picnic lunch beside St Brelade’s church and the Fisherman Chapel. The church was built in the pink Jersey granite with pebbles and limpets from the gorgeous sweeping beach embedded in the walls and ceiling. The Fisherman’s Chapel is a few metres away and is the oldest church on the island. The medieval frescoes, which were uncovered during restoration are quite extraordinary. The one in the blip illustrates the Annunciation.
