Blue Tit ( Cyanistes caeruleus )

After yesterdays ball of fluff I thought I had better show folk what it would look like when not tucked up in the nest box.   So this is one of the local Blue Tits.  The maximum count for the garden today was 5 individuals.   For the record the one was back in the box tonight but didn't settle down until about an hour later than yesterday.  This one is perched in the Osmanthus waiting for a space on the feeders.

In the afternoon Clickychick and I went to a service celebrating the life of the mother of her closest school friend.  Sadly she died of old age while Covid restrictions prevented many people attending the funeral.

The service was yet another reminder that you really should find out as much as you can about friends and relations rather than waiting to hear all about it after they have died.
