The canal tunnel

This morning our bowling was cancelled as the green was waterlogged after yesterday's heavy rain. 

The sun came out so I did a few things in the house then harvested the remaining tomatoes and cucumber.  It's been a great year for them.  the courgettes are still producing fruit but I doubt that there will be many more now. 

This afternoon I went for a walk from Ellesmere to Blakemere along the canal.  It was lovely with the bracken changing colour.  This is a photo of the tunnel, I liked the reflections in the water.

I walked back towards the Mere and saw a couple that I know so stopped and had a chat with them, they were doing the same walk but the other way round.
