Flower Friday: Broccoli Flowers

We're partial to broccoli, especially the tenderstem variety, so earlier this year we tried growing it for the first time in our veggie patch. It didn't work out well - I think I didn't water it enough , anyway it bolted and grew into long thin woody stems (not tender at all!) with flowers which opened as soon as they formed. Most of them have now set seed but there's still a few rather pretty ones so I've captured this shot for today's blip.
