Getting Smarter

When we switched electricity suppliers a while back I had to agree to the installation of a smart meter. Our previous supplier was keen to fit one as well, but the engineer never turned up on the day, for which we got £30 compensation and the subject never came up again. Today though was the day for our new supplier. They were supposed to arrive some time between 8 and 12, so with no sign of them by 11.30 I assumed it would be another no show. Not so though, the guy phoned and arrived just before 12. He fitted the new meter fairly quickly but then there was an anxious wait as he couldn't get the power to come back on again and had to phone the office for remote assistance. He was on hold for 35 minutes, but eventually they solved the problem.

I've felt a bit under the weather today, I assume as a result of the flu jab yesterday. Normally I don't get any sort of reaction apart from a sore arm. Feeling better this evening.
