Looking out
A forecast of heavy rain failed to materialise but the wind was very gusty and the cloud was thick all day save for a brief sunny moment at lunchtime.
So we drove down the coast road to the North Sea Observatory at Chapel Point and sat in the Seascape Café gazing out of the picture windows. We had latte, then lunch. Len took Basil out on the beach for a brief run.
3 pm and time for ice cream. Time to head for Farmer Brown's. Excellent ice cream. Plus he's also had his café extended and a special hut built for customers with dogs, like us.
I was delighted to have my mint choc ice cream served in a gluten free cone, although the lady at the till assured me they'd been available for some time. Finger licking good.
Back at the chalet, we took Basil and ourselves to the beach where he had a good run before the wet weather set in.
Anticipating dinner at the Seacroft Bar.
