Flooded Floor

This is a section of our 115 year old parquet floor.

On Tuesday, we had an incredible storm with driving rain and very high winds.

On Wednesday we noticed in our Ground Floor Flat, that the floor and carpet were wet!

The water must have come in either from below (HOW?) or escaped the dampproof course and come in through/under the exterior wall (HOW?).

Now we have to have surveyor to assess the issue.

In the meantime, we have two dehumidifiers going almost 24/7.

The dark lines around each wooden "tile" shows the high water line.
