Isles of Scilly day 4
This is a little before sunset, just down the footpath from the house where we’re staying. A beautiful walk by myself, a very rare experience for me to go for a walk and not see anyone.
Earlier in the day we went on the boat to Tresco, and spent happy hours wandering around the garden there. The extra is one of about 100 pics I took - so hard to choose. It’s where we sat and ate our sandwiches. Wonderful succulents and palm trees, and lots of shrubs still in flower, though obviously many are over. They have massive tree echiums - maybe 12 ft tall. The shapes were still there, but not the wonderful blue/mauve flowers. We saw lots of red squirrels - I think they have been introduced, and are being supported with feeding stations in the gardens. In the outdoor cafe, little sparrows beg crumbs and come to sit on your table, nobody minds:)
