Easedale Tarn

No family weekend is complete without a long walk, so we braved the icy temperatures to do a lovely circular route from Grasmere, via Easedale Tarn.

There was thick, bright snow as far as the eye could see and a bitter wind when we reached higher ground. But it really was beautiful. And we saw two deer in the woods on the way back.

Sadly, I forgot my camera in the rush of the morning but luckily Paddy had hi i-phone and took this panoramic. My sister looks a little squashed but apart from that, it's pretty good me thinks.
