Different view

The day started dry and as we arrived home a day early and still need to get a gift for daughters birthday on Friday we decided we would walk into the city.
I have been trying to get a cast iron casserole dish she wants from John Lewis and failed, not available on line and when we went into the store a few weeks ago they refused to sell us the last one as it was their display item.
We got her some rather nice bath products in a small shop and then headed off to Boots, let’s pop into John Lewis and try again to buy the pot I said, and guess what the nice lady said yes you can buy it but it doesn’t have a box, so we got it.
Passed Blacks on the way home and as they had a closing down sale we now have new waterproof jackets to replace our old trusty ones that must be twenty years old.
Sun shone all day but still quite chilly.
Coffee in the city at one of our favourite coffee shops, now with tables outside and the dome of the council building towering over us. I love the fact that suddenly everywhere has lots of outside space.
Lovely walk with daughter and dogs this evening, and a catch up on her progress, or lack of it, with house selling and buying.
Pleased we came home early as such a good day today.
