Don

It’s just over two years since we got the terminal prognosis for Don and at that point we jumped in the car and went straight down to Wales to say our goodbyes. He is the brother of my partners late wife, who died of cancer 18 years ago.
Well, he beat all estimates and fought his lousy nasty cancer of the tongue and throat with positivity and scientific precision. So much so he got another two years of life and laughter and many happy memories made.
He went into the hospice in June and we thought that was it but no, he lasted 75 days and the last ten days without food. A record apparently! So a fighter to the end. He lost the battle this morning, we have been grieving him for weeks so it is a relief that it is finally over and now a celebration of his fifty years lived well can begin.
