Stilton
is a small town near Peterborough (UK) and home to my horologist to whom I had delivered my 140 year-old Viennese wall clock for repair.

The town also gives its name to the cheese, which is not made here but was made famous by a local businessman who marketed it successfully in the 1720s.
The photo shows the front of the Bell Hotel where I had an enjoyable lunch which of course included some of the famous cheese.
