I did my first slot in the reception desk in the library this morning which was thankfully quite quiet as I really know very little about the library and the campus as a whole. It’s going to take a while to learn everything!

After that, I attended fire evacuation training, to find out what we need to do if there’s a fire in the library. You’d think we’d leave by the nearest door, but no, we report to the reception desk and the first 15 people will be given floor sweeping or door monitor duties. Unfortunately, our office is quite close to the reception desk!

I was glad to get home at the end of the day. I’m really struggling with being back in the office - I think it’s going to take quite a while to get used to it again.
