Not Hip to be in Hospital

It's been a hectic and dramatic day. My mother called me at work just after lunch to tell me that my father (91) had slipped and fallen and couldn't get up. I hurried home but in the meantime my wife and my son had managed to get him up on a chair. He was in terrible agony and an ambulance was on the way. We spent the next seven hours at the hospital where it was established that he had broken his hip (the second time around, he broke the first four years ago). Anyway, he seems quite at ease and is well provided for in terms of pain relief - surgery is scheduled for tomorrow morning. Hope he gets a good night's sleep!
