Swan song

A swan serenely paddled into view at Sandwell Valley. Yet again the wind was bitingly cold and the snow remains thick on the ground - and even on the beak of this beautiful bird. The fourth day of the Big Snow and now we are bracing ourselves for yet more by Good Friday. Tonight, nonetheless, 19 people managed to join together for the start of the pilgrimage through Holy Week.
